Should I take IELTS or Cambridge?

IELTS is used as for immigration purposes and for entrance to higher education such as TAFE colleges and Universities in Australia and overseas. For higher education students take an academic focused reading and writing exam. Cambridge exams have 5 papers; listening, speaking, reading, writing and use of English.

Which is better CAE or Toefl?

If you can type like a machine, go for the TOEFL. If you’re taking the CAE, you can choose paper-based or computer-based. If talking to a real person makes you uncomfortable, go for the TOEFL — you’ll only speak to a computer. The CAE or IELTS both require speaking to a real person (or two, for the CAE).

Is CAE part of IELTS?

The IELTS test consists of four sections: speaking, listening, reading and writing. You will always take the listening, reading and writing parts all on the same day one after the other, with no breaks between them.

A fee of $500 for ASAE members and $750 for nonmembers must be submitted with your application. If you are not a member, it’s not too late to join and be eligible for the lower application fee. The $500 member/$750 nonmember application fee is nonrefundable.

Is CAE good?

CAE is enough for most situations. It’ll allow you to get a job in most companies in Europe (it’s less well-known in the US). Cambridge say it’s accepted by 6,000 government departments, businesses, and academic institutions around the world. Proficiency might be needed for some jobs, or to do a PhD programme.

Is Toefl harder than IELTS?

IELTS and TOEFL both test basic English proficiency tests. IELTS is considered to be easier than TOEFL by most of the test takers. Many students believe that the IELTS reading section is easier than TOEFL’s reading section.
