Should I take SAT or ACT if im bad at math?

Remember though, on both the SAT and ACT, the questions are designed so that technically you should be able to solve them without a calculator at all. Practically speaking though, if you aren’t confident in your math skills to solve problems quickly without one, then the ACT is a better bet for you.

Is ACT better for people bad at math?

In general the ACT is slightly more content focused and the SAT more reasoning focused overall. Specifically for Math that means the ACT has a slightly greater emphasis on remembering how to/performing calculations while the SAT has a slight emphasis on reasoning/critical thinking math skills (think word problems).

Both tests focus heavily on algebra, but unlike the SAT, the ACT also has a larger section on geometry and trigonometry, and the ACT allows calculators for all aspects of the test (whereas the SAT has one math section that does not allow a calculator).
