What are the requirements to join the American Nurses Association?

To qualify as an individual member, one must be a Registered Nurse (RN) holding an active, unencumbered in at least one State, territory, or possession of the US or be a recent graduate of a nursing program qualifying them to take the RN licensure exam (must be confirmed within six months).

What is the cost to join the ANA?

Annual dues are $253.00. When you join MARN, you will also be joining the American Nurses Association and be eligible for the many ANA benefits including significant discounts on ANCC certification. MARN dues include the $138.00 ANA membership dues.

Students can become ANA Student Subscribers to gain access to vital resources and insight, improve their education, and start supporting fellow nurses from the very start.

Members of the National Student Nurses Association (NSNA) are eligible to sign-up as ANA Student Subscribers for free – a $10 value! If you are not a member of NSNA, you can still sign up as an ANA Student Subscriber for free by agreeing to receive membership information from NSNA.

Can LPNs join ANA?

At the national level, ANA serves professional (registered) nurses. Some state divisions also accept Licensed Practical Nurses, LPNs – this is more likely to happen when the state doesn’t have an organization specifically for practical nurses.
