What can destroy Egyptian God Cards?

They can be destroyed by Trap Cards that target (in the anime, “Blast Held by a Tribute” destroyed one monster and inflicted damage based on its ATK, so it targeted). They can be affected by targeting Traps (“Magic Cylinder” and “Spellbinding Circle”). See note.

Are Egyptian god cards actually good?

The Egyptian monsters take quite some effort to summon, but offer varied and powerful effects. Thanks to newer supports, the god cards are stronger than ever, able to hold their own in competitive play.

Can Slifer be destroyed by card effects?

Slifer the Sky Dragon If this card is Special Summoned, it is destroyed at the end of the turn. As long as this card is face-up on the field it is unaffected by all Trap Cards or other Monster Card’s effects. This card cannot be returned to it’s owner’s hand or be destroyed by an effect of a Spell Card.

This card can be searched by “Dogu”, “Single Purchase”, “Painful Escape”, “Mound of the Bound Creator” and “The True Name”.

Can Mirror Force destroy God cards?

Also god cards can not be targeted by any card effect such as “Man-eater bug or shadow spell”, But can be destroyed by dark hole or mirror force once the first turn of it summon has passed.

Can Slifer be tributed?

You can Tribute Summon “Slifer the Sky Dragon” or “The Wicked Dreadroot” from your hand by tributing an opponent’s monster affected with “Soul Exchange”.

How do Egyptian God Cards work?

All three “Egyptian god” cards (in the anime and manga) share these similar effects: Each card requires a Tribute of 3 monsters in order to be Summoned from your hand to the field.

How hard is it to over power the god card?

My friend who is a God Card fanatic tells me that you must either prevent the summon of the God Card or over power it in battle once one is in play. Of course it is hard to over power them as one has 4000 attack! One gets stronger for every card in it’s controllers hand. And Ra… well, he can get very strong too.
