What color would the sky be with a blue star?

Since blue stars burn hotter then red and yellow stars the Earth would be much hotter to the point that there would be no atmosphere and thus nothing to scatter any light. The sky would be black except for the very intense sun up there.

What would happen if the sun disappeared for 1 second?

If the sun disappeared for ONLY ONE SECOND, nobody would notice anything other than no light for a single second. Nothing else. Our orbit would change by less than 1 Km as I’ve shown.

Do blue suns exist?

Blue stars are stars that have at least 3 times the mass of the Sun and up. Whether a star has 10 times the mass of the Sun or 150 solar masses, it’s going to appear blue to our eyes. All told, Eta Carinae is blasting out 1,000,000 times the energy of our Sun. Blue stars burn through their fuel at a tremendous rate.

Does a blue Sun exist?

What if we had a blue sun? Though the sun may appear yellow or reddish to the naked eye, it’s actually an ordinary white star. And the blue version released by NASA was made using a specific wavelength of ultraviolet light known as CaK, which is emitted by ionized calcium in the sun’s atmosphere.

Why are the Earth’s Skies Blue?

Contrary to what you might have read, there’s no one single factor responsible for Earth’s blue skies. The skies aren’t blue because sunlight has a blue tint; our Sun emits light of many different wavelengths, and that light sums up to be a net white color. Oxygen itself isn’t a blue-colored gas, but rather is transparent to light.

Why does the sky change color when the sun goes down?

As the sun gets lower in the sky, its light is passing through more of the atmosphere to reach you. Even more of the blue light is scattered, allowing the reds and yellows to pass straight through to your eyes. Sometimes the whole western sky seems to glow.

Why does the sky appear blue instead of Violet?

Direct light, from close to the horizon, reddens tremendously, while far away from the Sun, indirect light only appears blue. This might explain why sunsets, sunrises, and lunar eclipses are red, but might leave you wondering why the sky appears blue instead of violet.

Why is the sky blue during the day but not night?

The overwhelming majority of that light will be blue in wavelength, which is why the sky is blue during the day. It will only take on a redder hue if there’s enough atmosphere to scatter that blue light away before it reaches your eyes. If the Sun is below the horizon, all the light has to pass through large amounts of atmosphere.
