The F-14 Tomcat was the US Navy’s carrier-based two-seat air defence, intercept, strike and reconnaissance aircraft. The aircraft was developed by Northrop Grumman to replace the F-4 Phantom fighter and entered service with the US Navy in 1972.

What is the difference between the Tornado GR4 and the F1?

The Tornado GR4 is an old bird but she can still defeat most AA systems and deliver a devastating weapons load. The F1 is still a very capable fighter. Both are due for retirement now the Typhoon has a strike capability and the F35 is entering service.
