New York City is a safe place to live. With 8.2 million residents, NYC is the most populous city in America and things are bound to happen. However, relative to its size, New York City is considered one of the top 5 safest large cities in America.
What makes New York a world city?
New York City is considered to be a global city because it has powerful organizations that are linked to the other parts and many of the major corporations and multinational companies are headquartered in this city.
Did you move to NYC and regret it?
No, I didn’t move to NYC and regret it. I actually live in Chicago ( love it) but I truly love NYC and want to move there one day. However, some people I know that currently live there, keep telling me that they were like me, and their first year in the city was really really tough. Can anyone share their experience?
What would you do to make NYC a better place to live?
Move out of shared apt into own place. Feel like I’ve “made it” in the city. Not made it big, but comfortable. Can’t live without incredible NYC amenities and conveniences. A cab when you raise your hand. Pick up and delivered laundry.
Is New York City worth it?
If all you want is a fun place to be, an easy life, or if you can do what you want somewhere else, I would consider any number of other cities. NYC is awesome and better than most other places in the world, but it’s also a meat grinder and if you don’t want much there’s better places to try and build a life for yourself.
Should I move to Chicago or NYC?
I lived in Chicago for six years, NYC to be frank is pretty much a better city in every way in terms of things that matter to me; nightlife, food (though Chicago does have a great high end scene), cultural diversity. You do pay for it though, I had a really nice apt in River North in Chicago, here in NYC i pay about twice as much for a studio.
