What is ATS surveillance service?

ATS surveillance service is clearly defined by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) but, put simply, it’s the ability to reliably and in near-real time detect key flight attributes such as position, level and intent.

What is Regional ATS Routes? A specified route designed for channelling the flow of traffic as necessary for the provision of air traffic services. Each ICAO Region has been allocated with series of Designators.
