Oil weight is a term used to describe the viscosity of an oil, which means how well it flows at a specific temperature. This means a 30 weight oil flows more quickly than 50 weight oil, but doesn’t offer quite the same level of protection at higher operating temperatures or in stressful conditions.

What weight is ISO 32 hydraulic oil?

Obviously, SAE and ISO use two different scales to measure viscosity. SAE 10W is equivalent to ISO 32, SAE 20 is equivalent to ISO 46 and 68, and SAE 30 is equivalent to ISO 100.
How do you know what weight oil to use?

Why are there different grades of suspension oil?
Since then it has merely become the convention used to indicate suspension oil viscosity despite its technical inaccuracy. Because of this we now have grades from 2.5W to 30W and everything in between and it is not likely to change any time soon.
