What happens after clearing all India bar examination?

After passing the examination candidate will be awarded “Certificate of Practice” by the Bar Council of India. AIBE will be conducted in 40 cities all across India. Candidates will have 11 languages to choose for attempting the examination.

What comes after Aibe?

The Certificate of Practice or COP is a certification issued to law graduates who have qualified in the All India Bar Examination (AIBE exam). The certification is mandatory to practice in a court of law in India. The COP is issued 6-7 months after the declaration of AIBE results.

Can final year students apply for Aibe?

Yes. The notification applies to students graduating from academic year 2009-10 onwards. All students graduating from academic year 2009-10 onwards have to appear for the All India Bar Examination in order to qualify to practice law in India.

How many times I can appear for AIBE?

B degree from any institution from any state which is recognized by the Bar Council of India (BCI). Minimum Marks: There will be no minimum marks criteria in the qualifying examination. Attempts: Candidates must appear as many times as it requires. There will be no restriction on numbers of attempts.

What is the difference between AIBE and BCI?

AIBE is the qualifying examination to achieve the “Certificate of Practice” in legal professions. BCI will examine the ability of advocate’s capability to practice the profession of law in India. It awarded the certificate to those candidates who will qualify the examination of AIBE.

What is the procedure to become an AIBE?

If the candidate are eligible for the exam, then only he/she can earn the ‘Certificate of Practice’ and can continue their legal professions. AIBE written examination will be conducted through offline mode in various cities of India. Candidates must have to fulfill the academic as well as other eligibilities.

What happens if you do not clear Aibe?

Those who are not able to clear AIBE remain enrolled with the State Bar Council as provisional advocates and not practicing lawyers. Appearing for the AIBE exam is mandatory for all law graduates who have completed their degree in or after 2010.

How to get certificate of Practice (CoP) for AIBE 12th and 13th exam?

The Bar Council of India (BCI) has recently issued the Certificate of Practice (COP) to all the qualified candidates for AIBE (All India Bar Examination) XII and XIII exam. The candidates who appeared for the 12th and 13th exam of AIBE need to contact the state bar council they are enrolled with in order to obtain their COP.
