What happens in background verification for freshers?

An employment background check typically includes the candidate’s work history, educational qualifications, driving record, medical history, and criminal record. These days, the social media of candidates has also become an authoritative source of screening.

How do you respond to a negative background check?

Tell the truth and be honest. If you have anything on your record that might be considered an issue, you should bring it up and explain that issue. Being honest and direct about past issues can overpower the issues themselves. Always be honest about past issues that might show up on your background check.

Don’t worry you will get a message once on Boarding pass is ready. In very rare cases If there is any issues with background verification then it won’t be generated and you will get a message that it is not generated and to contact your recruiter. You can get recruiter details from One Cognizant portal and contact them.

BGV done by client before joining any project. to get the status of 1st ask the recruiter who recruited you, he/she should have the update on your BGV status, mostly it might take 2 to 6 months to complete cognizant BGV. interms of client BGV, get in touch with the manager who recruits you in to his project, he will have update on your client BGV.
