What IB subjects do you need to study psychology?

In the IB, I suggest you take chemistry and biology. Especially biology as things you will study in psychology comes up there. Then take a social science that is as close to psychology as possible.

Is IB Psychology SL easy?

I took IB psych and it was probably one of the more difficult classes that I’ve taken, mainly because of the work that I had to put into it. Other than the amount of work, the concepts are pretty easy to understand. The course requires you to have knowledge of many studies, case studies, and theories.

What grades do I need to study psychology?

A levels – While you don’t need to have all three sciences at A level for a psychology degree, most universities prefer at least one out of chemistry, physics, biology, or maths. Overall, a combination of good, academic A level subjects is required. Psychology A level is desirable, but not usually required.

Which IB subjects can I take to study medicine?

For example, some medical schools may require IB students to take biology, chemistry and maths at HL level, but some will still admit students with these subjects taken at SL level.

How many classes are there in the IB?

However, these are all the classes the IB has created a curriculum and test for. There are in total 57 classes (counting HL and SL separately). I have categorized them by the categories that the IB defines as the six subject groups.

Is geography a good IB subject for psychology?

There’s quite a bit of statistics and number manipulation in good psychology degrees so you should try to have at least SL maths skills. Do not do 4 HL subjects, it is not needed at all and it will be too much work considering all the extra work from other IB activities. Geography is not the ‘easiest’ humanity, nor is it easy in general.
