What if I missed my station?

While booking the ticket a boarding at option is given (both counter and irctc) where you can select the from station and boarding station. By chance, if your plan changes and now you are willing to board at a subsequent different station, then get change in ‘boarding at’ station at least 24 hours in advance.

What happens if you miss your train stop?

How can I file TDR if I miss the train?

TDR Filing Details:

  1. Login to your IRCTC Account.
  2. Click to Booked Ticket History.
  3. List of tickets where date of Journey has elapsed.
  4. Select PNR for which TDR is to be filed and click “File TDR” Button.
  5. Select the passenger name from the ticket details for claiming TDR refund.

What happens if I miss my next train?

If you miss your next train because a previous connecting train service was delayed, you will be able to travel on the next train service provided by the TOC (as long as the entire journey is booked under one ticket). Speak to a member of staff on the delayed train or at the next station and they can help you get your journey back on track.

If you are told to first visit the ticket office at the station to be issued a new ticket, then you can easily do so and will receive a new and free ticket for the next departing train.

It is expected that a passenger should catch the train from his/her booked journey starting station (actually Railway rules advises passengers to turn up 10 minutes prior to the train timings). And if he/she does not board the train at the booked journey starting station — can be treated as not turned up.
