How bad is AQI 150?

Is AQI unhealthy to run?

How much AQI is bad?
AQI values at and below 100 are generally considered to be satisfactory. When AQI values are above 100, air quality is considered to be unhealthy, at first for members of populations at greatest risk of a health effect, then for the entire population as AQI values get higher (greater than 150).
Should I exercise outside with bad air quality?
Avoid outdoor physical activity or reduce the intensity and duration of your outdoor exercise when an air quality alert has been issued. Air pollution levels tend to be highest near midday or in the afternoon, so try to avoid outdoor exercise during these times of the day.
What happens if air quality is over 500?
Exceeding the 500 scale indicates the situation is terrible. At 500, maximum damage is done so there is no point going beyond that. It’s a situation similar to the US Environment Protection Agency’s (EPA) hazardous level. Its recommended that people remain indoors but indoor air quality is also impacted.”
Can I run outside in unhealthy air quality?
For your own running, if the air quality outside is unhealthy due to smoke (see the EPA’s Air Now website for information on where you live), you should probably run indoors or rest. You shouldn’t do a hard workout outside (a shorter, easier run in moderate air quality may be okay, but err on the side of caution).
