What is a master ASE technician?

A master technician is an automotive service professional who has earned all eight certifications offered through the Automotive Service Excellence (ASE). These areas of certification include electrical systems, engine performance, heating and air conditioning, engine repair and more.

Formal Schooling Auto manufacturers and other large employers often have their own in-house training programs, which generally last two years and are also recognized by the ASE. Formal apprenticeship programs vary by states, but usually last for four years.
