What is AHU coil?

An air handler, or air handling unit (often abbreviated to AHU), is a device used to regulate and circulate air as part of a heating, ventilating, and air-conditioning (HVAC) system.

What is a HVAC fan coil?

A fan coil unit (FCU) is a device that uses a coil and a fan to heat or cool a room without connecting to ductwork. Indoor air moves over the coil, which heats or cools the air before pushing it back out into the room.

What does a Ahu do?

An Air Handling Unit (AHU) is used to re-condition and circulate air as part of a heating, ventilating and air-conditioning system. The basic function of the AHU is to take in outside air, re-condition it and supply it as fresh air to a building.

    The main difference between ahu and fcu is that we use fcu when the requirement is less then or equal to5 tons and2000 cfm and for fcu we have to provide fresh air seprately .coming to ahu it is used when the requirement is about5 tons and2000 cfm and in ahu it takes fresh air by itself.
