What is APM job?

APM programs or Associate Product Manager programs are roles designed for graduates, to introduce them to the world of PM. Their main goal is to provide mentorship for young talent, and for some, it serves as a good alternative to non-existent Product Management bachelor’s degrees.

How selective is Google Apmm?

With an acceptance rate of around 0.2 percent, working for Google is more competitive than getting accepted into Harvard University. The APMM program itself only hires around 70 to 100 people annually.

What is an Apmm at Google?

The Associate Product Marketing Manager (APMM), program is Google’s global, renowned early-career program, which was started in 2003 by Marissa Mayer at a similar time she started the Associate Product Manager (APM) program. It was designed to help build future business leaders in the Marketing organization at Google.

When do Google APM applications open and close?

The Google APM applications for full-time jobs usually open in mid-September, staying open for just one week. Internship applications sometimes open at the same time, sometimes a few weeks later. I’ll post here once I know for sure. My advice is always to apply on the first day the application is open.

What can you do with an APM degree?

APM alumni have launched major Google products like Gmail, Maps, Drive, and Chrome, while others have gone on to co-found their own companies. Well-known within Google – With APMs and APM alumni in every product area across Google, the APM program has built a strong reputation.

How long does it take to become an apmm at Google?

Google accept 70-100 APMMs across 29 offices in 24 countries. APMMs complete a two-year program. The first rotation is assigned based on our business needs at the time and lasts approx. 18 months; the second is based on the associate’s interest in location, role, and product area.
