What is ASE in MIT?

You may take an Advanced Standing Examination (ASE) to earn credit for an MIT subject. Typically, these are offered in math, physics, chemistry, biology, and electrical engineering and computer science (EECS). If you fail the ASE, you may not retake the exam, but you can register for the subject in a subsequent term.

How are exams conducted in MIT?

Final exams will be done remotely. They will be one to three hours in length and will held during the regularly scheduled exam time EDT, no matter what time zone a student may be in. Conflict exams will be coordinated by the Registrar’s Office as usual.

Does MIT have placement tests?

Advanced Standing Examinations are one way in which you can obtain credit for MIT subjects outside of the classroom itself. A passing grade on an MIT Advanced Standing Exam entitles you to full credit for the subject, as well as placement in the next subject in a sequence.

Does MIT have final exams?

Fall 2021 exam schedule We post the final exam schedule during the third week of the term. There are two exam periods: 9 AM to 12 PM and 1:30 PM to 4:30 PM. H1 and H3 exams are during the final week of the subject during regular class time.

What is the syllabus of MIT entrance exam?

Mainly exams are based on CBSE Syllabus of Maths, Physics, Chemistry and English & General Aptitude.

Should I send my AP scores to MIT?

Students with scores lower than 5 on either exam should take the FEE or plan to complete a CI-HW subject. The College Board reports scores electronically to MIT. MIT will not accept scores from paper reports sent to you, or from your high school. Please submit all AP scores by July 23, 2021.

How many AP classes do MIT students take?

Does Harvard accept CLEP?

We accept a maximum of 16 credits, combined, for coursework completed by an examination, such as the College Level Examination Program (CLEP), or professional training approved by the American Council on Education (ACE). We do not accept all CLEP exams, so check with an advisor before registering for one.

Is biology required for MIT?

All undergraduate students are required to complete the Biology General Institute Requirement (GIR).
