What is D remittance?

D-Remit is an electronic system through which money can be directly transferred from your Bank account to the Trustee Bank so that you can get same day NAV for your investment in NPS. It also eases the mode of deposit of voluntary contributions by the Subscribers.

What are the charges for D Remit in NPS?

D-Remit is a digital system that allows you to transfer funds directly from your bank account to the Trustee Bank and get same-day Net Asset Value (NAV) for your NPS contribution. After 9.30 a.m., contributions received will be deposited the next working day.

How do you add D Remit?

Here are the steps:

  1. Visit SBI Net-Banking portal.
  2. Login using your credentials.
  3. Click on ‘Other Bank Transfer’ from the ‘Payments & Transfer’ tab.
  4. Choose NEFT/ RTGS from ‘Transaction Type’ and click on the ‘Proceed’ button.
  5. Choose debit account.
  6. Enter the amount you want to make your SIP (Minimum 500)

Can I do SIP in NPS?

Through the D-Remit facility, you can also start a Systematic Investment Plan or SIP in NPS. You can set up an auto-debit from your bank account every month/quarter/year by giving standing instructions to your bank. The minimum SIP amount would also be Rs. 500.

How can I stop NPS sip?

  1. If you do not wish to continue your NPS account or defer your Withdrawal, you can exit from NPS anytime.
  2. Log in to CRA system (www.cra-nsdl.com) using your User ID (PRAN) and Password.
  3. Click on “Exit from NPS” menu and click on “Initiate Withdrawal request” option.

A Subscriber only needs to have a Virtual ID (Account) with Trustee Bank to use D-Remit. The Virtual Account with the Trustee Bank can be used only for remitting NPS contributions. After authorization by Trustee Bank (by next working day), Virtual Account becomes active. A confirmation on activation is sent from the CRA system.
