Does more engine volume also mean more power?
Yes. More displacement (engine capacity) means that more fuel and air can fit in the engine, which means it can produce more power. However, it’s only true if everything else is identical. Just because an engine has a 5.0 litre displacement, it doesn’t mean it produces more power than a 4.0 litre.
Does engine CC matter?
No. CC does not necessarily more affect speed of vehicle. As CC represents swept volume of cylinder of an Engine, if volume increases, then fuel consumption also increases, which also gives high power than normal. Now, power is nothing but product of Torque and Speed.
Is a V6 engine better than a 4-cylinder engine?
The V-6 will be a much sweeter engine, whether or not it gets more power than an equal displacement 4 inline. And a straight 6 would be even nicer, in terms of vibration-free operation. At equal displacement, and let’s assume (to reduce the variables) that both are naturally aspirated, power and torque would depend on many factors.
How to pick the right valve for a modified engine?
In a high performance engine application, a stock valve may operate inefficiently or not at all. Since little flow data exists, picking the correct valve for a modified engine can be difficult or impossible. Our first instinct was to search for PCV flow data which could be cross referenced to part numbers or some type of engine recommendations.
Do more valves per cylinder mean more fuel efficiency?
On the positive side, more cylinders will mean greater total piston area, for a given displacement. So that would improve efficiency. (Same calculation that makes 4 valves per cylinder better than two.) On the negative side, you have more frictional losses with more cylinders, so that reduces efficiency.
