What is Iaas job?

IAAS services are majorly responsible for auditing the accounts of the Union and State governments and public sector organizations. The department is responsible for maintaining the accounts of State governments. One other important role is similar to the US GAO and the National Audit Office (United Kingdom).

Who is IAAS officer?

The Indian Audit and Accounts Service (IA&AS), a formalized civil service (Group A) of the Union of India, forms the middle and top level management of the organization, through which the Comptroller and Auditor General of India (CAG) exercises its mandate. The lower level comprises of Officers of Group B and below.

How can I become a CAG officer?

You can qualify for CAG through the examination conducted by SSC and UPSC. If you qualify through SSC( Staff Selection Commission), you would be joining as an Auditor. Later, Auditor gets promoted to Senior Auditor after three years. After 2 years of Job, you get permanent.
