What is rang in Sufism?

Aaj Rang Hai often called Rang or Rung (meaning colour in Persian, as well as in Hindi and many other North Indian languages), is a Qawwali composed by Amir Khusro in appreciation of Sufi saint Nizamuddin Auliya. Traditionally it is sung as a closing piece at the end of a Qawwali session.
