What is the difference between Ahu and AC?

Air handlers are designed to move air around. That’s all that they do. They don’t heat up or cool down, they move air. Air conditioners, on the other hand, exist only to cool air by removing heat from the outdoor air.

Is AHU connected to FCU?

The latter is an acronym that describes multiple systems of heating, ventilating and air conditioning. AHU, completely known as air handling unit is different from FCU or the fan coil unit. AHUs are usually connected to a central HVAC system whereas an FCU can function or be installed itself.

How does AHU work?

The AHU is normally a large metal box which connects to the ductwork that channels conditioned air throughout a building and returns it back to the AHU. AHU’s supply fresh air to the room. The units take air from the outside, filter it and recondition it (cooled by a cooling coil or heated by a heating coil).

Replace dry, cracked, or worn down belts. If coils require cleaning, remove motor/blower assemblies and brush between fins. Follow this up by vacuuming the fins. Alternatively you can use a compressed air system to blow air through the coil fins from the exiting air face.
