What is the difference between Hanafi and Shafii?

Shafi’i Ideas is viewed as peace of mind or serenity while Hanafi is extremely strict For Example : Blasphemer : Throughout the Shafi’i tradition, blasphemy by non-Muslims is recognised merely as an extension of their disbelief therefore a non-Muslim is not killed for his kufr.

What is difference between Hanafi and Hanbali?

The Hanbali school, unlike Hanafi and Maliki schools, rejected that a source of Islamic law can be a jurist’s personal discretionary opinion or consensus of later generation Muslims on matters that serve the interest of Islam and community. Hanbalis hold that this is impossible and leads to abuse.

What is the difference between the four Madhabs?

The four madhabs were actually the curriculum of schools of Islamic learning formed about 80 to 200 years after the death of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). The differences between the curriculum was due to the number of hadith reaching the founder of the school and the source of learning Islam.

The Hanafi school (Arabic: حَنَفِي‎, romanized: Ḥanafī) is one of the four traditional major Sunni schools (maddhab) of Islamic jurisprudence (fiqh). The Hanafi school is the maddhab with the largest number of adherents, followed by approximately one third of Muslims worldwide.

Technically it refers to the body of Islamic law extracted from detailed Islamic sources (which are studied in the principles of Islamic jurisprudence) and the process of gaining knowledge of Islam through jurisprudence.

What is the difference between fiqh and Usul fiqh?

Usul fiqh is a methodology and rules and principles which guide the jurist to derive legal rules from the original sources. it is a methods of derivation of rules. Whereas fiqh derives Islamic ruling by using those legal rules in the light of the Usul fiqh methodology.

Why is Fiqh important in Islam?

So, basically, Fiqh refers to the knowledge of Islamic jurisprudence. It relates to understanding and explaining the Islamic rules in the light of the Quran and Sunnah, in order to guide the whole Ummah toward the straight path. According to Sufiyahs “Fiqh is, to merge knowledge with action” (AlMukhtasir al-Qudoori).

Is Shafii halal?

Seafood other than fish (e.g. prawns): Hanafi – they avoid this (don’t know if it’s haram or simply makrooh), Shafii – Halal. Rennet (for cheese & whey): Hanafi- Halal even if from non-halal slaughter, Shafii- Halal ONLY IF sourced from halal slaughter.
