What is the difference between T-72 and t90?
The T-90 is essentially a T-72 upgraded with the more advanced systems found on the T-80U, but ditches the T-80’s troublesome gas turbine engine. The T-90 adds a new laminated armor package, explosive reactive armor and an electronic countermeasures suite.

The T-72B3M tank was exhibited for the first time to the public during the 2014 Tank Biathlon World Championship held in October 2014.
Is there a wind sensor on the T-72B?
The T-72B obr.1989g does not have the wind sensor installed on the turret, but to make things more complicated, the later model T-72BA does. Thus, the wind sensor is a helpful indicator, but again can’t alone be used to make a positive ID.
Does the T-72B3 have a hunter-killer capability?
The T-72B3 has a limited hunter-killer capability even though it lacks commander’s panoramic sight. Vehicle commander can select a target and lay the gun and let the gunner complete all the aiming and firing process.
Can the T-72B3 be used in Syria?
At least one captured tank was pressed into Ukrainian service and used against its former owners. In 2017 the T-72B3 also saw action in Syria. Protection of the upgraded tank was slightly improved. The T-72B3 is fitted with built-in Kontakt-5 explosive reactive armor. The same armor is used by the T-80U, T-90 and some other main battle tanks.
