What is the importance of Sajdah?

The Sajdah is only one part of the prayer which showed significant improvement in brain activity. The Muslims are supposed to do it five times a day. Thus the effect of prayer to maintain and improve brain activity and mental health is critical and needs to be studied more in the future.

What is the significance of sujud during prayers?

Sujud Sahwi or Sajdah of forgetfulness occurs during the ritual salat prayer. Out of forgetfulness a person can either omit obligatory parts of salat (Qabli) or add to the salat (Ba’adi). In either cases the person corrects his/her salat by doing the Sujud Sahwi.
