What is BoB Qab?

Bank of Baroda has doubled the minimum quarterly average balance (QAB) that its ‘Baroda Savings Account’ customers maintain at the bank’s metro, urban, and semi-urban branches. In the case of customers at semi-urban branches, the minimum QAB will be ₹1,000.

What is Qab charge in BoB?

BoB and BoI, both Mumbai-based large lenders, also follow the practice of QAB. The former expects rural and semi-urban savings bank account holders to have Rs 500 as QAB. The charge for failing to maintain it is up to Rs 100. For urban and metropolitan customers, the QAB is Rs 1,000, with penalty up to Rs 200.

Charges for non-maintenance of minimum required balance is Rs. 100/- plus GST, per quarter.

Upto 1 lac Rs 125/-
Above Rs 1 lac to less than Rs 1 crore Rs 250/-
For Rs 1 crore and above Rs 500/-

What is minimum monthly balance?

Monthly Average Balance (MAB), also known as the minimum average balance is nothing but the minimum amount you are required to maintain in your Savings Account every month. The figure is calculated at the end of each month and failure to maintain this minimum average balance will result in penalties.

What is below Qab in Bank of Baroda?

The minimum QAB for Advantage Savings Account for urban and metro branches is being increased from Rs 1,000 to Rs 2,000 and for semi-urban branches, the minimum QAB is being increased from Rs 500 to Rs 1,000. Maintaining several bank accounts adds to the cost. Close those savings account which you would use often.
