What is the pass mark for NMC CBT?

What is the passing score of NMC CBT? The decision, a candidate passes or fails the CBT is determined by both critical questions and an overall pass mark. A candidate must answer 90 percent of critical questions correctly. The overall pass score is set as 60 percent.

Can you take NMC CBT at home?

You can conveniently take the CBT exam at home or in any comfortable place. Wherever you test, you should be in a walled room, with a closed door, and without distractions. No one else is permitted in the room with you while you are testing.

Is NMC CBT easy?

How many attempts are allowed for CBT?

The candidate can sit for second attempt, if fails the first. But there should be a gap of minimum 28 days between the first and second attempt. NMC initially allows 2 attempts for CBT, further attempts will be allowed after a period of 6 months only.

Can you fail CBT?

The CBT is not a test, so you theoretically cannot ‘pass or fail’ your CBT. These are determined by the instructor who will be training you on the day of your CBT test. Although you can’t fail a CBT test, you may be asked to come back for additional training until the instructor feels you are safe to ride on the road.

Can I take the CBT exam online?

The CBT exam is a computer-based exam made up of theoretical practice-based knowledge. It is all multiple-choice questions and it will take place in a test centre or can be completed online, depending on the country you are applying from.

Can you use calculator in NMC CBT?

No, you will not be allowed to bring a calculator rather an on-screen calculator will be available to you throughout your UK NMC computer-based test (CBT). No educational, test preparation or study materials.

How do I check my CBT result?

You can see your CBT results in your Pearson Vue account 48 hours after you sit your test. Once you have successfully passed your CBT, your NMC Online account will also update to show this. Test centre staff do not have access to your examination results.

Can the police check if you have a CBT?

There are no records of a person’s licensing details, including whether they have a valid CBT certification kept on any police database. A person’s CBT certificate is not even recorded with the DVLA; it is a paper-only certificate managed by Approved Training Bodies (riding schools).

Can you pass your CBT in one day?

CBT typically takes one day, but there is no time limit. There is also no pass or fail – riders who aren’t ready after one day keep going until they ‘achieve’ the correct standard.
