What is the pattern of UGC NET?

Paper-I The questions will be generic in nature, intending to assess the teaching/research aptitude of the candidate. 03 hours (180 minutes)
Paper-II This is based on the subject selected by the candidate and will assess domain knowledge.

How can I start studying for UGC NET?

Students who have completed the Master’s degree and preparing for the UGC NET exam must first start with the first year syllabus of Master’s degree course. Before starting the preparation for the UGC NET exam, refer the UGC NET Syllabus and divide the topics accordingly.

What is pass mark in UGC NET?

The candidates who have cleared UGC NET as per the minimum qualifying marks, i.e., 40\% for General and 35\% for Reserved Category shall be declared ‘Pass’ in the UGC NET exam.

Is there minus marking in net exam?

Ans: No. There is no negative in the exam. UGC NET 2022 will have a total of 150 multiple-choice questions and candidates will be given 3 hours to complete the exam.

Is UGC NET hard?

Yes, the exam is tough, however, many candidates (who have prepared hard for it) make it to the cut off of UGC NET. UGC NET exam includes 2 papers – Paper I and Paper II. Paper I is General Ability Test, held for anaysing the teaching and research ability of the candidates.
