What is the prayer that saves you?
Lord Jesus, I confess my sins and ask for your forgiveness. Please come into my heart as my Lord and Savior. Take complete control of my life and help me to walk in Your footsteps daily by the power of the Holy Spirit. Thank you Lord for saving me and for answering my prayer.
What happens when you say the salvation prayer?
A salvation prayer, known by many Christians as a “Sinners Prayer,” is a prayer one would say to repent from sin, ask God for forgiveness, confess belief in Jesus Christ, and accept him as Lord and Savior. Saying a salvation prayer is the first step in your relationship with God.
Can someone be saved if you pray for them?
According to the scriptures, the person themselves must put their faith in Christ to be saved. They can’t be saved by someone else simply praying for them.
Will praying get you to heaven?
Not exactly. All Christians believe that only God can determine whether a person belongs in heaven or in hell. Entreaties on behalf of the deceased can’t sway God from what’s right, but post-mortem praying does have other uses. He therefore brings himself closer to God and closer to salvation.
How do you accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior?
Through prayer, invite Jesus into your heart to become your personal Lord and Savior.

Does God save loved ones?
If our loved ones’ salvation depends on us, it’s impossible for them to be saved. But with God, even the most unlikely person can receive Jesus Christ as his Savior and enjoy eternity with Him. Our Bible account is the parable of the lost son from Luke Chapter 15.
Can you pray for someone who died?
When a person dies his soul goes to either heaven or hell. There is no second chance after death. The Bible tells us, “Man is destined to die once and after that to face judgment” (Hebrew 9:27, see also Luke 16:19-31). It would do no good to pray for someone who has died.
Can we still pray for the dead?
While it is not wrong to pray for someone who is already dead, there is no purpose is asking God to have mercy on them. We don’t decide when people have eternal life or eternal death. Only God judges on the day of judgment. Pray for unbelievers before they pass away and cry out to God on behalf of them.
Do the dead pray for the living?
Intercession of the dead for the living “[A]t least some Jews in the first century believed that the angels in heaven were praying for those on earth and presenting their prayers to God. Jesus’ parable of the rich man and Lazarus in Luke 16:19–31 indicates the ability of the dead to pray for the living.
