The prime object of a circulating water (CW) system is to cool the LP turbine’s exhaust steam to convert it to condensate. Typically, the cooling water causes the steam to condense at a temperature of ∼45.4°C (113.7°F) and that creates an absolute pressure in the condenser of ∼0.1 kg cm2.
