What is the use of power and torque in bike?

Power and torque are the responsible factors for the pick up of bike. – The power has a huge impact on the acceleration especially when the engine runs at a high speed. – Whereas the torque also helps in acceleration but when the bike has to move from a standstill stage or when it has to pull extra load.

What does torque mean in a motorcycle?

Torque in a motorcycle (or car or truck) engine is the ability of the engine to twist. In motorcycle specs from manufacturers, the torque is measured at the crankshaft. For example, a motorcycle with 100 Nm of peak torque can twist something 1 metre away with 100 Newtons of force.
