What is TSO profile?

The PROFILE command controls the way your terminal communicates with TSO/E and with other users. The message identifier appears at the beginning of the message and is a way to reference the message in z/OS TSO/E Messages , SA32-0970.

What is a TSO segment?

If a user logs on to TSO and you have defined a TSO segment in the user’s profile, TSO checks the user’s authority to use certain TSO resources such as account numbers and logon procedures. If the user is authorized to use a resource such as an account number, TSO continues building a session for the user.

What is a RACF profile?

In RACF®, a profile describes the security characteristics of a user, a group of users, or one or more computer resources. User profiles. A user profile is a description of a RACF-defined user.

How do I increase TSO logon region size?

Specify a large value like 64000 on your TSO logon screen. At the same time you would need the high value allowed on RACF TSO segment. You have to specify a number bigger than 32768 to increase your actual region size.
