What should I do after BPO experience?

A BPO person can easily go for a career in Sales, operation, Marketing, PR. If you have completed your graduation, then all you need to do is pursue a masters or PG in any of the above stream and start hunting for job. However, if you are interested in any other stream you can pursue a related course and do the same!

Does BPO experience count for jobs?

BPO experience was not counted for any software jobs in the IT industry.It will consider for technical jobs which includes back office support, front desk jobs in Organizations using IT. the name itself derives that a person is professional at this work in BPO sector.

How can I change from BPO to Wipro?

You can apply for internal transfer once you have completed 18 months in the company. You have to keep looking for Job opportunities as per your skill and apply. Wipro is my first employer and yes, it’s my first on campus job too.

Can I switch from KPO to IT?

If you join the KPO of a company with the aim of moving into IT in the same company, be prepared to be in the same job for anywhere between 12 to 18 months. Most companies have a minimum period in which you cannot switch your assignment or location.

In most cases the answer is No or highly unlikely, if you’re looking to work in a BPO as a fresher,earn some experience & shift to the IT sector with a high package for yourself by cashing your experience. While BPO employees does perform several IT related stuff, there are also several whose job profiles has nothing to do IT or related to it.

Can I Shift my career from BPO to IT sector?

YES you can shift from BPO to the IT sector but this mainly depends on your educational background as well as your company. There is a segment of Technical Support in BPO where you will be trained with basic technical skills.

What skills do you need to work in BPO?

In BPO you need to have an in-depth knowledge of the products offered by the company and hence you will get a chance to learn and develop your skills. A lot of BPO’s provide training and certified courses in various fields and you can explore the IT sector to gain more knowledge.

Can I do a BCA/MCA while working in a BPO?

Do your BCA/MCA while working in a BPO. Ensure that the timings are flexible. Once you have completed the 3 years course you can switch to IT but as a fresher as BPO experience is not counted in the IT field. , Being Outsourcer for quite a lump sum.
