What should I do after completing PGDM?

Can I pursue PhD after PGDM from Nmims?

NMIMS, symbiosis, Velinger, MIT , IMT all provide pgdbm. It’s post graduate Diploma in business management. It’s not a master’s degree. That’s the reason, you cannot pursue PhD with the help of pgdbm.

Can we do PhD after PGDM from symbiosis?

You can definitely consider pursuing a PhD after completing a PGDM course. However, the PGDM course should be AICTE recognized and approved as these are viewed at the same level as an MBA in India.

A good PGDM course imparts the necessary managerial and leadership skills that you require to be successful in managing business operations in public and private firms. You can even be an entrepreneur, instructor, or researcher after doing PGDM.

What is age limit lecturer?

Age Criteria to Become a Lecturer Candidates should not be more than 28 years of age for Becoming a lecturer in college, Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) as of the year of the exam. However, SC, OBC, ST, PwD, and women candidates are given a relaxation of 5 years.

Can I do PhD after PGDM without MBA?

If yes you can directly go for PhD you don’t need to have an MBA for that. If your PGDM is not recognized by NBA and still wants to peruse a doctoral program, you can join FPM program from IIMs. But if your PGDM is not from any gazetted institute and not approved by AICTE its a fake degree.

Is a PGDM recognized NBA degree equivalent to an MBA degree?

PGDM should be approved by AICTE only or the institute offering degree should be gazetted but they may go for additional accreditation if they want e.g. AIU, NBA, DEC-UGC, Local Management Associations etc. PGDM recognized NBA are at par with MBA degree in India.

Can I do FPM from IIMs with a PGDM degree?

If your PGDM is not recognized by NBA and still wants to peruse a doctoral program, you can join FPM program from IIMs. But if your PGDM is not from any gazetted institute and not approved by AICTE its a fake degree.

The base eligibility criteria for a PhD/FPM program at most schools in India (including IIMs) is having a 4 year UG degree and having a masters is required only if the UG program is of 3 year duration.
