What should I study for Uppcs?

The major topics given in UPPSC Syllabus are History, Geography, Polity, Economics and Current Affairs….UPPSC Preparation books for Mains are:

  • History- Bipin Chandra.
  • Polity- Laxmikant.
  • Geography- Lexicon or Majid Hussain or G.C.
  • Economy- School Textbooks or Ramesh Singh.

Is Uppsc easy?

Although UPPSC paper 2 is qualifying in nature, questions were moderately difficult. According to Rohan Shukla, who gave his second attempt, the reasoning section was moderately difficult whereas other sections were relatively easy.

Is Uppsc tough?

UPPSC PCS 2021: Preparation

  1. In History, give more and more importance to the Social, Political, and Economics sections.
  2. Focus more on Physical Geography and Economics because many questions are asking from these topics.
  3. A lot of students will read the constitution to marks well in polity-related questions.

Is Uppcs Paper 2 qualifying?

Paper- II is qualifying in nature, candidates need to score 33\% marks in paper II. There will be a 0.33\% negative marking for every incorrect answer.

Is CSAT qualifying in UPPSC?

CSAT marks no longer be included in UP PCS Combined State Upper Subordinate Services (Prelim) Exam. In other words, the CSAT will now be just ‘qualifying’ in nature for the forthcoming preliminary recruitment examination of these two exams of the UPPSC.
