As humans, we survive by learning. Over the years our research has taught us many things. some things that were useful immediately and some things that were not useful until years after they were learned. Looking at it from that perspective – it is NOT true that 98\% of what we learn is a waste.
What should students learn in school?
Social Skills: Your child will learn self-control skills, how to listen quietly, follow directions, and cooperate with others. Reading and Writing Skills: Your child will learn the alphabet, letters, corresponding sounds, and sight words. They’ll talk about stories they are reading to show they are understanding them.

Additionally, high school students benefit from self-studying habits to prepare for a more independent learning environment in college.
