What was it like in the gas chamber at basic training?

The room will be very foggy. The fog you see is CS gas, and you may smell it slightly through your mask. As the drill sergeants touch your shoulder, take in a deep breath, close your eyes, lift your mask, answer the questions in one breath, put your mask back on and clear the mask.
