He did not follow authentic Ramayana but instead chose to follow later added folklores so that after adding much masala for his TRP, he could earn a lot by fooling people of India who never read canon Ramayana.

His Ramayana showed events of Uttara Kanda which is NOT a part of Valmiki’s Ramayana, Original canon Ramayana consists of six books i.e Bala, Aranya, Ayodhya, kiskindha,Sundara and Yuddha Kanda. Uttara Kanda is a later added book written much later after original Ramayana, it had no mention in even Mahabharata as well.
