What is IGI certificate?

IGI Diamond Reports give an accurate assessment of a diamond’s cut, color, clarity and carat weight according to strict international standards. Regardless of location or marketplace, an authentic IGI Laboratory Report is the common language of trust and confidence in the gemological world.

What is the best diamond grading?

Flawless is the top grade in the GIA Clarity Grading System. Diamonds graded Flawless don’t have visible inclusions or blemishes when examined under 10-power (10X) magnification by a skilled and experienced grader. As clarity increases, and if all other value factors are equal, diamond price per carat also increases.

What is GIA diamond certification?

The GIA tests diamonds and grades them based on the 4 C’s: carat weight, cut, color, and clarity. Testing is conducted under stringent guidelines not to miss any flaws. The institute then files a test report and signs off on the diamond’s quality. The diamond is then considered “GIA certified.”

What is the difference between a certified diamond and a regular diamond?

Technically, there is no difference between a certified diamond and a “regular” or non-certified diamond. Any diamond can receive a grading report and be “certified”, and most diamonds over 3/4ct are, especially if they’re the center diamond of a diamond engagement ring.

Is IGI or Gcal better?

What is an example of a GIA grade diamond?

Here’s an example to help you out: if a jeweler tells you that a diamond has an AGS cut grade of 0, clarity grade of 3 and color grade of 2.5, the equivalent on the GIA scale is a diamond with Excellent cut, VS1 clarity and I color.
