Which hepatitis is Kala Piliya?
Hepatitis C virus (HCV) causes a disease of the liver known as hepatitis C. In the northern part of India, this is also referred to as ‘kala pilia’. If left untreated, it can lead to cirrhosis or liver cancer.
What is Kala Piliya symptoms?
If the infection’s left untreated, the following symptoms may develop:
- jaundice.
- fever.
- abdominal pain.
- nausea.
- diarrhea.
- fatigue.
- dark-colored urine or light-colored stool.

Is black jaundice curable?
In adults, jaundice itself usually isn’t treated. But your doctor will treat the condition that’s causing it. If you have acute viral hepatitis, jaundice will go away on its own as the liver begins to heal.
Can you be cured of hepatitis?
