What causes cracks in AAC block walls?

When pores in the block receive water, it expands and shrinks on drying. Due to this marginal expansion, contraction in length and tensile stress, crack appears.

What is the difference between AAC blocks and clay bricks?

AAC Blocks are advance technology building blocks. They have more strength as compare to clay bricks. They are highly tolerable, have more strength, better normal dry density, better sound reduction, more fire resistance and they have thermal conductivity better than clay blocks.
