Which is better group X or Y in Air Force?

Group X is for technical branch and “education instructor” and Group Y is for non technical trades. Frankly speaking if you want to enjoy a fixed time duty then group Y is better , although pay of group Y is a little less than group X .

Is airforce X group exam easy?

After qualifying, the written exam one has to pass the Physical Efficiency Test also. In this test, one has to run 1.6 Km in 6.5 minutes, which is not an easy task for candidates. The passing ratio in the running test is very low.
