SPCE is government-aided autonomous so it has less fee as compared to SPIT. SPIT(Sardar Patel Institute of Technology) offers self-financed courses like electronics,computer engineering,IT. The university asked it to offer these courses under different institue but same building altogether.So SPIT was born.

Is spit a deemed university?
The fee structure at SPIT is reasonable when compared to some of the deemed institutions spread across Mumbai. But it is obviously more expensive than the college which are government aided. The college is permanently unaided so the infrastructure is quite descent along with a autonomous status.
