Who is only true God?
Jesus upheld Biblical monotheism when he prayed to his Father, “This is eternal life, that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent.”
What is meant by true God?
As the true God he cannot lie, always true and truthful. He is true to himself and to his creatures. He always thinks, feels, speaks and does what is true. When he says something he is true to his word.
Does the Bible say there is only one God?
The bible does not say that there are no other gods it says there is only one real and true God and it is Jehovah. The rest of them are mentioned though in the pages of the Bible check out: Baal, Dagon, Bel, Marduk, Moloch, Chemosh, Zeus and Hermes and we can name many more.
Does the Bible refer to gods?
The Bible usually uses the name of God in the singular (e.g. Ex. 20:7 or Ps. 8:1), generally using the terms in a very general sense rather than referring to any special designation of God. John 17:6 presents the teachings of Jesus as the manifestation of the name of God to his disciples.
Is it God’s or God?
Jesus was quoting Asaph, who arguably was speaking on God’s behalf, in the 82nd Psalm, “gods,” here, is obviously plural. The English language accepts god(s), as used here, as either singular or plural. But, “God,” which conveys an idea, not a thing, is strictly singular.
Is there only one true God?
PEOPLE worship many gods. But the Holy Scriptures teach that there is only one true God. He is unique, supreme, and eternal. He created everything in heaven and on earth, and he gave us life.
Does the word of God have any power?
In other words, only the true word of God has any power, and God opposes men who simply quote each other and attribute it to Him. History shows that Jeremiah’s prophecies were indeed true.
What is God’s self?
The God Self is our higher self. In order for us to relate to God, there has to be within each of us already a self concept which fits into God because it is in its shape or pattern, an incarnation of God’s inner nature. We cannot escape from God anywhere because we carry the divine essence within us.
Is everything we do in the Kingdom of self sin?
Everything we do in the kingdom of self is partaking of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil — and is therefore sin. When we operate in that realm apart from God, we make ourselves our own god and push the true God aside.
