Why are M50x bad?

Anyone who says the M50x are “super-comfy” have probably been wearing concrete on their ears until they bought these. For a lot of people, the main reason these are uncomfortable are the cheap, poorly made ear pads. As mentioned in the build quality, they’re made of a fake leather, which isn’t a big deal.

Why is ATH-M50x good?

The Good. The Audio-Technica ATH-M50x Professional Studio Monitor Headphones offer excellent build quality and very detailed, balanced sound with tight bass. They’re also very comfortable and have slightly more cushiony earcups along with a detachable-cord design (three cords are included).

Should I get the ATH-M50x?

Yes, the Audio-Technica ATH-M50x are absolutely worth it. These headphones are extremely versatile and so regardless of what you use them for (streaming, gaming, listening to music, etc.) you can be assured that you are getting an excellent pair of headphones for a great price.

Now, the ATH-M50x professional studio monitor headphones feature the same coveted sonic signature, with the added feature of detachable cables. Does the Audio Technica ath-m50x have active noise cancellation?

That is the start and end of the Audio Technica ATH-M50X’s special features. They don’t have wireless, active noise cancellation or an integrated DAC. There’s no in-line control on the shorter cable either, which is a shame.

Is there a wireless (Bluetooth) version of the ath-m50xbt?

Yes, there is. The wireless (Bluetooth) version of the headphone, the ATH-M50xBT, was specifically designed to sound like the original wired only version of the headphone, the ATH-M50x, when used in the wireless mode. As a result, when the ATH-M50xBT is used in the wired mode, it does not sound identical to the original wired only ATH-M50x.
