Why Battlefield v flopped?

On February 5, 2019, EA’s CEO Andrew Wilson announced that the game ultimately failed to meet sales expectations, blaming the game’s marketing as well as their focus on developing a single-player campaign instead of a battle royale mode, a genre which had gained recent widespread popularity.

Is Battlefield v historically accurate?

Battlefield V is a fan fiction of WWII. it has some general references to the history of WWII (nations in conflict, place, time ) but other than that, not much of historical accuracy. It’s a pure entertainment flick. If you are expecting historically accurate combat, you are looking at wrong game.

Why is it called Battlefield 5?

DICE has confirmed the ‘V’ in Battlefield V is a reference to Winston Churchill and World War Two’s V for Victory Campaign. Not only that, but Wilson suggested that EA’s decision to prioritise Battlefield 5’s single-player over the new battle royale mode, Firestorm, hurt Battlefield 5’s sales. Firestorm is launching in March, and it won’t be the first battle royale game from EA, as it just recently launched Apex Legends from Titanfall studio Respawn Entertainment.
