Why do American soldiers wear their uniforms in public?
Because it’s illegal to run around in their underwear. Most often, when you see a member of the U.S. military wearing a uniform (genuine military) it’s likely they’re on duty and between points of duty. They’re travelling, for the most part, or attending some official event.
Can you wear your Army uniform off duty?
As long as it’s an allowed uniform you can wear it all day any day. Sometimes working uniforms are not allowed off base because the military doesn’t want to present anything that’s not “sharp” in public.
Can soldiers customize their uniform?

Do soldiers work everyday?
Being on active duty is similar to working a full-time job. In the Army, for instance, its active duty soldiers serve 24 hours a day, seven days a week for the length of their service commitment (that’s not to say that each soldier works a 24-hour shift, just that there are always soldiers on duty).
Are you allowed to date in the Army?
Yes, soldiers are allowed to date civilians, as well as other soldiers in the military. However, there are some limitations. Officers and enlisted are not allowed to date. Many units don’t allow soldiers to date anyone directly in their chain of command or a subordinate.
Is it OK to wear a uniform all year round?
All uniform combinations are authorized for year-round wear. However, soldiers should use appropriate discretion based upon weather conditions and duties. Wearing combinations of uniform items not prescribed in this regulation or in other authorization documents approved by HQDA, is prohibited.
