Why do some messages say Read and others don t?

Messages (Android) Once you have Chat (Google’s own marketing name for RCS), you’ll finally be able to view typing indicators and read receipts with those who also have RCS enabled on their phone. Read receipts can be disabled within the Chat settings in Messages.

Why are my messages showing as read?

By default, any text messages you receive via the iMessage service will show when you read the message along with the time you read the message. Turning this feature off only affects new iMessages sent; previously sent iMessages will still show a read receipt.

Why does my message say read without time?

That means you addressed the iPhone of that person. If their iPhone is set up to respond with Read Reciepts then you will see it only if the person reads it on the iPhone.

Why do some text messages say delivered and some say read?

Read means the user that you sent the message to actually opened up the iMessage app. If it says delivered, they most likely didn’t look at the message although it was sent through. You can change it though in Settings to make it that you don’t send a read receipt when you read a message.

Can someone else read my texts?

Why do some iMessages say read?

For the uninformed, a read receipt is a tiny gray notification that pops up within an iMessage conversation that lets someone know you’ve opened, and presumably read, their text.

Why would someone turn off read receipts?

When a message is “read”, that means the recipient is ACTIVELY looking at the message (not just in Preview), and indicates attentiveness. By switching that option off, she’s telling you that she doesn’t want you to know if she has or has not read the message.

Always, check for an unexpected peak in data usage. Device malfunctioning – If your device has started to malfunction all of a sudden, then chances are that your phone is being monitored.
