Why has CBD become so popular?

CBD products are now widely available after the Hemp Farming Act of 2018 legalized hemp-derived products in the United States. CBD has also gained popularity as more states have legalized medical and recreational cannabis products that contain THC, the chemical compound in cannabis responsible for the “high” feeling.

Is CBD still popular?

There’s no getting around it: CBD is officially everywhere. Its popularity has skyrocketed. What started as a niche alternative health treatment has become a nationwide craze. And it doesn’t just show up as oils and tinctures anymore.

Do people trust CBD?

Around two thirds of respondents feel CBD has benefitted their overall health and / or helped them with a medical condition. The conditions that people are most likely to say it has helped them with are anxiety / stress relief, arthritis and back pain.

How many Americans have used CBD?

According to a 2019 Gallup Poll on CBD use, 14\% – about 1 in 7 – of U.S. adults personally use CBD products. Perhaps not surprisingly, the highest percentages of usage come in the 18-29 age groups (20\%) and in the western states (21\%). Only 8\% of those over 65 and 11\% of those between 50 and 64 use CBDs.

Why does CBD work so well?

CBD works because the cannabinoids it contains bind with the the endo cannabinoid system (CB1 and CB2 receptors ) to create a fully functioning network of neurons in your body. That’s why our bodies respond so well to CBD when we provide it with extra cannabinoids — these chemicals occur naturally in our own bodies!

Why is CBD becoming so popular?

In short, CBD contains properties that effect neurotransmitters by relieving symptoms related to mood, pain and relaxation. In other words, the oil helps users relieve symptoms of anxiety, chronic pain, nausea, inflammation, and insomnia. The reason why CBD is becoming so popular is because it doesn’t contain THC.

What is CBD and why is it important?

CBD is a cannabinoid abundantly found in certain strains of the cannabis plant. Because of legal restrictions in much of the world prohibiting the cultivation and sale of cannabis containing THC, much of the CBD on the market is extracted from low-THC hemp. That’s why CBD oil is often also known as hemp oil.

What are the side effects of CBD?

Dry Mouth – Out of over 700 patients 11\% reported symptoms of having a dry mouth.

  • Changes in Appetite – During the review 5\% of patients reported changes in appetite.
